What model of Stihl blower ?

What is the octane of the gas you are using ?

What brand of 2-Cycle oil you using ?

Sounds like a dirty carb. Gas after about 5 to 6 weeks starts to turn to a varnish in the carb clogging the fuel ports thus creating fuel starvation and bogging down at throttle take the carb apart and thoroughly clean and or soak in a good carburetor cleaner.

I just used my Stihl hege trimmer for the first time since May.
Started on the 3rd pull and ran great with the old gas mix in it.

Have you tried replacing the spark plug and the air filter. After storage they most likely need replacing or at least cleaned. You might try a little sand paper on the plug and check the gap to make sure it's set right.

When you get it running check to see if you have a good flow out of the exhaust, had a number of units this year like this that mud dobber bees had pluged up the exhaust trying to build a nest in them.

You might take a look at the spark arrestor.
The 2-cycle exhaust tends to partially plug things up causing back pressure.
Costs nothing to have a look.
