I just recently purchased 3 used John Deere riding mowers.

445, x320 both hydrostatic
STX 38

My current question is about the two hydrostatic mowers. I notice the reverse on both don't work that great. If I put my foot under the reverse peddle and lift up, I am able to get more moving power. How do I adjust / fix this issue?

Hello all,

New here...

I recently purchased a x 320 and a 445. Both have issues with reverse. I can put my foot under the reverse peddle and lift up and get way more power than if pressing down on the peddle. Any suggestions on how I can adjust or fix issue?

Worked on a 455 a couple of months ago which is the diesel version of the 455, the issue with it was the rocker pedal had come loose from the shaft under the floorboard, and allowed the pedal to move on the shaft.
