Craftsman riding mower

Hello!
I have a craftsman riding mower that’s about 15 years old and in great shape, honestly. It has recently developed an issue. The mower will start to turn over as soon as the battery is connected, even with the key out of the ignition! Is this a starter issue? I’m at a loss. All help is greatly appreciated!

More than likely a bad starter solenoid. Disconnect the one or two wires on the solenoid and see what happens. If the starter spins over, bad solenoid, if it doesn’t turn over I would then check the key switch.
