Honda HRX217K5HYAA Discharge shaft replacement

The Disharge Cover shaft on my Honda HRX217HYAA lost the push nut on the right side came loose now when I try and replace it the tension springs are not providing tension for the cover, they are still attached to the shaft and I just can't figure out how to get them back into postion. If anyone has pics or a video of how to replace the shaft I would be most appreciative.

purchase 2 new push nuts for $1.95, item 19, & install them with vise grips on rod & tapping push nut with small hammer until seated. push nuts usually last one go round, loose their tension.
