Commercial walk behind G1548, things to check out?

Hey all, I picked up a commercial G1548 today for a nice price and gave it a quick test in a small quarter acre lawn. I have an exmark as well, similar controls and gear drive and it seems like the cub isnt as, exact, might be the best word. The exmark turns on a dime, when you hit the clutch/brake handle, it will spin you around. The cub is just a bit more lazy, and seems to require more manual muscle to move it where it needs to go. The kawi motor seems to run fine, surges a bit, but we'll fix that up with some good gas and carb cleaner. I'll get the trans greased and blades sharpened, but what are the pain points on this mower?
