Craftsman Mower with Electric Start B&S Engine

My Craftsman has an Electric, Push Button Starter. The charger gets warm, but not hot when using it. Is this OK? Also it has a red and green light on the charger. The green comes on when the battery is charged. Does it harm the battery to leave the charger on after it is charged? We normally charge it all night. Thanks,

List the model #. Something like 917.XXXXXX. Then, can get a manual, which should address it.
In general, most newer battery chargers have auto shut off when at full capacity.

The chargers with indicator lights usually reduce or shut down the charge rate when the battery is fully charged.
