When I turn my lawnmower to the left, the blades stop turning. When I turn right, the blades start turning and cut great. What could cause this? I have put on a new belt. I don't think it is a deck problem. Could it be a wiring problem? Where should I start looking?

Start looking under the seat and post the full model numbers so we know what mower you have.
Also it helps is you tell us if the PTO is electric or mechanical.
