I need a new battery and I have no idea what was in here originally. Is there a direct replacement that fits the hole? Where can I get one and what is the spec for it? Thanks

What manufacturer is your mower?
Most mower batteries are the same size, you need to look for the CCA, or Cold Cranking Amps. It's probably about 270 or so. Not sure.

With a small motor like a 10hp you can use a 230 CCA Walmart battery. There is a left and a right side battery. U1L and U1R are the 2 types. If your battery cables are long enough it don’t make a difference which you get. But with short wires will need the right battery or you have to modify the cables.
