Hello!

My current mower has a Peerless MST-206-502C transaxle that I need to replace. I looked online and found that there aren't many for sale. However, the MST-205-545C is available from about 30 different sellers and all in pretty good condition. SO I wanted to know, could I just swap these and be done? or do I need to go with the 502C?

I have the measurements for the 502C here, but couldn't find similar diagrams for the 545C: https://www.smallenginesurplus.com/images/MST-206-502C-2.jpg

Thank you for any info!

My go to for tranny problems is always Mulligans.
They have always given me honest answers regardless of weather they can supply the parts or not.
However if they do they have very good prices.
In most cases there is always an upgrade tranny available that will drop right in.

I would check the direction the brake lever needs to move on transaxle of each to engage brake pads. I did a swap like this many many years ago,
But from a Dana-6 which was crapola, to a Peerless 206. & one thing I had to change, was a different brake lever to make it a push lever from a pull or visa - versa. Everything else was a direct bolt up.
