Hey guys! New to the forum! I had someone bring me a husqvarna with a Kohler motor KT745 3011 26hp to work on and he said it was flooding and gas was getting into muffler. My first thought was carb needle but as I was doing tests on ignition I got zero spark on either coil. I believe this is an MDI coil 32 584 07. I disconnected kill wire from coils and still no spark. Resistance from ignition lead to armature reads 7.14 on one and 7.40 on the other. From ignition lead to kill terminal reads 17.14 one one and 17.46 on the other. Am I missing something or did both of these coils go bad at the same time? I also read you're suppose to connect the side not being tested to ground or installed plug which I did not do until I read it in service manual. Thanks guys!! And this part number also is showing 32 584 07 has been changed to 32 584 24s. If anyone can verify that for me I would greatly appreciate it!

i suspect that one module failed but like most people don't notice or can't tell that the engine is running on one cylinder. then shortly after the the other module failed which is the reason you now have it.

And it seems like Kohler and Kawasaki modules fail in pairs.

Ok thanks for the reply. So with me unhooking that kill wire and still not having spark, I dont see anything else that could cause problems. Magnet on flywheel will hold a flat screwdriver pretty good and I cleaned rust off of it.

Kill wire disconnected should give you spark with a known good spark plug grounded to metal on the engine.

I unhook the kill wires from both coils right? And I've been using one of those spark testers where you can adjust gap with a knob. Think it came from autozone. I've also just grounded plug to engine with no luck. Can anybody tell me if 32-584-07 has been superceded to 32-584-24 or 25s? Cant seem to find an 07 online but I did find on Jack's small engines that it had been superceded to 32-584-24 and another guy told me the newest one was the 32-584-25s.

Kohler dealer site shows that your 32 584 07 superceded to 32 584 09 which superceded to 32 584 24

Also dealer site nor distributor site list the 32 584 25 as a valid part number
