Hey guys, new here. So there is about 600hrs on this tiger cat. Love this mower. But this past week has been rough, Ive ran it every day and usually about halfway through it starts surging and wants to die out. It actually has died out a handful of times. I let it sit for ten mins and then baby it back to the truck. Ive cleaned the carb twice this week, new oil/filter/plugs. Fuel pump seems good since it runs well for quite a while? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Make sure both cylinders are firing/working.
Check valve lash.

Assuming you have checked the valve lash & it is good ( or corrected it ) and the problem persists

The instant it stops or sounds like it is going to stop leap off & open the fuel cap.
problem goes away = bad tank vent

Assuming it is not the above, pull the fuel line on the tank side of the pump and blow back down the line ( removing the fuel cap will avoid a fuel shower )
problem goes away = debris in the fuel tank blocking off the outlet tube.

If neither of these makes any difference then invest is a pair of red flashing in line spark testers , fit them securely then go mow.
When it starts playing up look at the testers.
At full speed they emitt a constant red/orange glow.
If they are flashing and in particular one is flashing and the other is solid then you have a problem in the ignition.
If they seem to be flashing together then you most likely have a wiring problem
