I have an Exmark Metro model M36-12.5K5. It has a Kawasaki engine model FB460V-MS14.

Had the mower for ages and never had any issues with leaks. This year, I noticed gas on top of the tank just below the cap - only while engine is running.

The tank filler neck doesn’t appear to be cracked or warped. I thought perhaps the cap had an o-ring or gasket that could be replaced. I saw neither. I don’t know if there was one that fell out or it never had one.

Looking online did not help. All I found were replacement caps - no mention of any o-rings or gaskets.

Anyone have experience with Exmarks they can share?

Replacement gaskets are not a common service item, a new cap is in order before you have a fire.
