How to replace the drive cable from a Cobra mower with Briggs and Stratton engine.

Hi, How does one access the drive cable at the driver end of the mower in order to replace it? I cannot see any way of getting to it. It is a 575ex B and S.

Hello, it should not be too much of a headache, best thing to do is first of all remove the spark plug cap and making sure that you have not got a full tank of fuel turn the mower on its side with the exhaust and oil filler downwards. remove the blade and then take of the plastic belt guard , you may find it easier to take of your drive belt and there will be a bracket that holds the gearbox from turning round , if you remove that you will get easy access to your cable end as the gearbox turns round Gary
