What the 411 on servicing the drive axle?
All the manuals say go to the dealer
We all know we aint going because we can prolly fix it ourselves
Currently very jumpy with little or no forward
A little better when warm but still unusable

First thing to check would be the condition of the drive belt(s) for the hydrostat drives. If that is not the issue, then you are looking at some major repair work, since it doesn't move forward could be an issue with both drives, but seems odd since they don't normally fail at the same time.

Even working on them yourselves, you are still looking at $300+ per side just for parts. And the amount of cleanliness required to have a repair that last for any period of time is paramount Dust and dirt contamination during the repair process will kill a rebuild hydro in short order.

Getting ready to powerwash the underside
The roll/drive lever seems to not really do anything so i'm assuming at the moment that its not fully engaged or disengaged
Going to check all the linkages and the belt(s) as you mentioned when its clean and i'll go from there
Thank you for your reply
Isn't there a fluid level to check as well?
