I,m rewiring my Kohler CH22 engine and ignition, the Kohler wiring diagram shows 2 diodes in the power supply
from the ignition switch to the fuel solenoid, it has been running for years with out them. Why do I need them.
Want to bring it back to its original condition.

Ariens Model # 931037, Serial # 000365
Kohler, Family #SKH624U1G2RA, M # CH22QS, SPEC # 66534
Serial # 2607121907

on some equipment like scag during the crank cycle power is not being sent to fuel shutoff or ignition coil (on models that use 12 volt, yours doesn't) only in run position is power there. so they pull power off the solenoid wire, the diode keeps it from back feeding on run position

Diodes are in, 1 on the start cycle and the other on the run cycle. According to Ariens diagram. Fuel solenoid working
as it should.
