Hi all, I am new to this, so please forgive me if this is a naive post, but I just bought a used 22" lowes by MTD push mower, and I need to work on the carburetor. However, I have no idea the model number of the mower. It is a blue lawn mower, and the serial number/Model number are long gone. any help would be appreciated, as I will need to buy gaskets for it at the very least.

There should be some numbers on the engine itself somewhere. You will need those numbers for engine parts. The model and numbers on the mower frame are for parts for the mower itself.

Welcome, Perhaps you could take some pics of the engine..

I have a 14 year old 22" MTD, engine on mine is (made in USA) Flathead Briggs & 156cc..Never skipped a beat in all the years.

If the unit is less than two years old I would ask Lowe’s who does their warranty work and take it to them for warranty service.
