I have been servicing and repairing Lawnmowers and Riders for over 50 years as my dad owned an Allis Chalmers dealership along with McCulloch ChainSaw dealership from the time I was 5 yrs old. He taught me all the trade secrets and I miss him a lot. The thing I'm trying to figure out now is how to put some marine grease in my LT1000 transaxle. I was wondering if anyone knows a way to install a grease fitting in those Peerless 206-545C transaxles since I already replace the bushings (saved the tractor from the salvage yard) and now the one side is starting to leak again. I live in NEPA and the weather has been dreadful. I think we're 7-9 inches above normal rainfall so far this spring. Happy floating. Here is my snowblower

The MST transaxles use gear oil and not grease in them. The seals are available for them for the leaks. The bushings are impregnated with oil and shouldn’t be put in any type of solvent.

Welcome to the forum!

I'm going to move this thread over to our transmissions and transaxles section.
