My name is Don and I have a John Deere LT-150. It is about 10 years old. I had to replace the drive pulley on top of the transmission
because the splines inside the bore hole wore out. Is this a common problem? I also replaced the belts at that time.
I am also concerned about the transmission. Does it have a limited lifetime?

Hi Don :welcome:

I'm going to move this thread over to our John Deere section to see if we can find you an answer.

Yes and Yes.
Changing the oil in hydros extend their life quite a bit but they fail by design.
Most are rebuildable .
Some times you can get a few extra season by switching to a heavier oil if you catch it before it gets too bad
