I'm a newbie to this forum and want to tell you about myself. My name is James and I own a 1986 John Deere Hydro 185 with a 38 inch deck that I bought new back then. It has been very dependable with very few minor needed repairs. I recently cleaned all electrical connections and added a starter booster relay to solve the click click click these are notorious for. I also have a John Deere LX255 with a 42 inch deck that has mechanically been a good mower but the plastic hood has been a piece of crap. Shame on John Deere.
