My FS 56RC finally died after 7 years. I was looking at buying a FS91R or FS94R but for a little more money I could get a trimmer that can handle anything.

I keep up with about a half mile of trails and a 1/4 mile long driveway that has some thick brush down each side. I have been using a brush blade but would prefer to use some heavy trimmer line. Does anyone own one of these and know what the biggest line it will take? The 0.95 that's on it is okay but briers break the line easily. I don't cut the briers at their base, only about half way to 3/4 of the way up them when they start curling into the driveway. I was thinking of .130 line but i'm not sure if it'll feed it? I've searched around and haven't found an answer.

Thanks.

Get the square magnum Gatorline.

And you can use at least .105 line in the FS131R. It's a powerful trimmer.

I just ordered some .130 titanium xpro. I loved the titanium force in .095 for my old trimmer. I figured I would try the better version first. I'm still confused if my trimmer head will accept .130?

I don't know what the stock trimmer head is. It looks as though it could have a few options. I'm hoping it is the autocut 36-2.

Talk to the dealer when you buy the fs131, he might make you a deal....

It's already bought. They gave me a 10% discount anyway. I walked out the door with the 131r and oil for 385.
