I have 4 acres that is rolling and some rough areas to mow over, I cleared half the land from shrubs and debri from being unmowed for years by the previous home owner. Looking at the mowers I dont see much difference between this and the 540m. I really don't want to spend the extra to get a to the next series which is semi-commercial according to the sales rep. What is the difference between the 525/540. Is it too late to upgrade? It hasn't been delivered yet.

Export threadJust yesterday I bought a 535m. 54”. I was between the 535 & 540. But I only have 1.5 acres to cut and couldn’t justify the extra cost. Given your situation it may be worth it though.
The 535 and 540 are the exact same mower, however the 540 has the Kawasaki FS series engine while the 535 has the Briggs Cyclonic.

The 525E was delivered Sat morning. I took a couple of practice laps around the house. It is very fast and doesn't skid, so I'm thinking it will cut my 4 acres in half the time and make my property seem too small for it. The biggest improvement is not having to slow down to a creep to make a sharp turn.
