Good morning,

I purchased a replacement head for my TB625 EC trimmer and I can't figure out how to replace it. I have taken apart the old head as much as I'm able, but I can't put on the new one. There is a metal hexagonal piece that I can't get off (see picture). The metal piece is on the replacement head, but when I take off the old head, the metal hexagonal piece remains on the end of the trimmer arm. It will not unscrew from the trimmer arm. Does anyone know how to take that piece off? I've looked on YouTube but no videos show a complete replacement like I'm attempting. Thanks in advance for your help!

See attached pictures.

it may have left handed threads, try turning opposite direction.

If it's a straight shaft, definitely left hand thread. Curved shaft is usually normal thread.

Hello,

A rule of thumb for any rotating assembly (as viewed from the bolt or nut securing it) is if it turns counterclockwise, it will have normal right hand thread, if clockwise, it will have a left hand thread.

Regards

Jeff
