Hey All,

Say I recently picked up a Murray Bagger (2000) for my Murray Lawnmower (1996). I came home to realize the bagger is for a 2000 model. Does anyone know if I can get this bagger to work, or if I am better off selling it and getting a different one?

Murray Bagger Model #: 24740A
Murray Tractor # 46907A

Thanks in advance!

prices are very high, have you considered mulching blades?

mulching grass & leaves is a good idea, your putting nutrients back into your grass & soil, just as you can with a vegetable garden when bagging & emptying into garden & tilling into soil. do you have a 46" deck with 3 blades?

I have not... Will they mulch enough so I don't have to rake when fall comes? Brands?

Thanks

I run Gator mulching blades on my mowers most of the time, especially in the fall. I discharge with them. My favorites are the G5 blades which have a high lift and good discharge velocity. They may not be available for your machine though and being a heavy, wide blade may be a bit much for your engine? Gator has other lower lift blades too though. Copperheads are similar mulching blades. Where they don't do so well is in dense, long, lush growth and wet conditions, having a tendency to clump.
