HELP! I ran my Husky MZ54 into the pond yesterday, fully submerged. Besides changing the oil & filter, draining the gas and drying out the air filter, what else do I need to do to get this going again?

Make sure the water didn't get into the hydro units. Oil will be milky if they have been run very long with water in them. Also if the engine was running when it went under and water got into the cylinders could result in hydrolock damage to the pistons and rods.

Everyone's worst nightmare, besides going off a cliff I suppose. Glad you're OK and able to talk about it.

Besides the advice above I'd spray all of the safety switches with WD-40.

Crank the engine with the spark plug removed to expell water that may be in the cylinder.
If it got a good gulp of water it may have bent the conrod or cracked the head or at the least blown the head gasket.
