I currently have a 2003 John Deere X475 Lawn Tractor that has served me very well through the 12 years that I've owned it. The fuel pump went out and JD doesn't make the fuel pump/sender unit any longer. I was able to cobble together a new pump to the sender and all is working again. My problem is trust and the availability of parts. That brings me to considering a new ZTR mower for my 1 acre yard with the 10 - 15 degree slope. A Hustler dealer told me that a Raptor SDX with ZT 3100 hydro drives would be all I would need with a 54" deck. I was thinking a FasTrak SDX due to the ZT 3400 hydro drives to ensure that the drives are never a problem for my sloping yard. I am also considering a Ferris ISX800. I am 66 years old and am looking for this to be my last mower purchase and the very best cut and ride comfort. I will appreciate any and all advice and recommendations.

RaleighFireWall,

Fastrak SDX should have 3400s now with 22" tires. If you can afford the Fastrak SDX, go for it by all means. A Raptor SDX has the same deck now as well as 22" tires and 3100 hydros.

Add Flex Forks and a suspension seat kit and then run the crap out of it.

Get the kawasaki 730 and you're all set.
