Just as I finished mowing the idle went slow, as in the slowest it can possibly putt without dying. I noticed a black wire with a plastic connecter on the end not plugged to anything. It seemef to be routed towards the rear of the engine. I'm assuming it is the reason for the sudden slow idle. For the life of me I cannot find where it is supposed to plug in. The wire next to it goes under the engine to the right something on the carb. I touched it to the neg side of battery, nothing changed. Any help would be appreciated. The is looking at the left side of engine from rear, right by the starter. https://i.ibb.co/4FBv1sJ/20190416-193456.jpg

The wire went to the magneto. There is no spark during cranking when I reattached it. Researched and likely caused by a short in the ignition switch. Still not sure if this has anything to do with why the engine runa bogged down likely to be simply bad gas.
