Getting a new Simplicity lawn tracker has a washout port on the deck for cleaning after mowing . Is it a good thing to use to clean the under side of the deck or better not to? It’s a Broadmoor fabricated deck so heavier gauge metal used . Thanks

yes & no, i use to when i first purchased in 2010 but stopped shortly thereafter, i try to mow in afternoon when grass is dry & remove deck once or twice a year for cleaning & service. i do not use water on my broadmoor, leaf blower only after each use, using water on any part of tractor will cause immediate problems or problems down the road.

You can use wash out ports but you must do it properly
Wash the mower over grass, without turning the blades off remove the hose and drive over a hard dry surface.
Leave the blades on for a good 5-10 minutes then shut down.
Air is a lot better for removing grass than water ever will be.
Get the longest air duster that you can find.
Remove the build up of clippings on top of the deck , that can catch fire when mowing first then raise the deck to its highest position and blow the build up from under the deck.
