Changed drive belt. Now when I push in on clutch pedal,machine takes off in whatever gear I am in. Tried to adjust clutch by book. Won't stop unless I put mower in neutral and let it coast to a stop.Help!

Belt is routed backwards around the clutch pulleys.
The belt should go slack when you depress the clutch/brake pedal
or
The belt is way too short.
or
Tension spring is pulling backwards

Drop the deck and stand the mower on its bum ( block the fuel cap first ) and take some photos
