So last summer my mower battery would start to drain- it would get to point where if i turned the blades off and tried to turn them back on it wouldn't engage anymore and when I'd go to turn the mower on after sitting over night the battery would be completely dead. So this spring i replaced the voltage regulator and stator and put a new battery in and I also discovered the 30 amp fuse was blown. With the new battery the mower started right up- next day- dead battery and I found the fuse was blown again. I put a new fuse in, charged the battery and went to fire it up and noticed as the flywheel spun around the coil sparked a little (which may be normal) and i saw the fuse pop. So wondering what everyone thinks? Bare wire somewhere causing fuse to pop or something else I'm not thinking of? Also, i had the seat switch taped down- could that be a cause? Wondering what i should troubleshoot next. I'm handy but not familiar with electrical systems on lawn mowers. Thanks
