A friend gave me a 2016 Cub Cadet Z Force L 60" with only 85 hours on the meter. He had already bought a replacement for himself. After pulling the valve covers, and seeing that the rocker arms were not moving, while cranking. I pulled the engine and split the case open, to find several timing gear teeth broken off and one bent pushrod. I would like to find a metal replacement gear, if anyone knows where to get one. I cant even find, just the plastic gear for sale without having to buy a new camshaft. If I'm having to replace the whole cam anyway, would it be ok to use a performance cam, or should I stay with the stock grind?

Put up the model numbers off of the engine, for better help.

I went ahead and ordered the parts, yesterday. I could not locate a metal cam gear nor could I buy just the plastic replacement gear. I had to buy the whole camshaft assembly.
