Tires for 10.5" wide rims

I have a Toro Groundsmaster 7200 that calls for 24x12-12 tires, Toro part #106-7868. I purchased Carlisle tires #511409 24x12-12 that I expected to fit then found in the Carlisle catalog that the tires are listed for an 8.5" wide rim. The GM7200 has 10.5" wide rims and I don't see how they will work.

I looked up the original part number on parttarget.com and found the NSN 2610-01-644-0954 which cross-references to Carlisle 575390 tire 24x12-12 which is also listed for an 8.5" wide rim. I contacted Carlisle and the only tires they have for a 10.5" wide rim are 26x12-12.

I'm surprised I can't find much mention of rim widths in Google search or on forums or even on tire descriptions. Is this not a common issue? Will the tires listed for an 8.5 inch rim stretch ok to 10.5"? Based on the cross-reference I'm concerned if I go buy the stock Toro tires that I'm going to end up with the same thing I already have and pay twice as much for them.

Any advice is appreciated!

Could try using a Kenda brand tire, they're rated @ 4 ply and pretty good tires but I always use a tube in my tires as well, saves issues with flats down the road ......

I have used the Kenda tires on my Exmark. I think they are the K500's and they were the exact size of my original tires (Carlisle maybe). The Kendas do tend to slide a little bit more which may have something to do with the rubber compound they use; different amounts of petroleum used in the rubber manufacturing process. I will say that what made the decision for me was the fact that they were 4-play as needed for a piece of equipment of my weight and of course the cost. The tires I got were only $53 a piece from Home Depot Online versus almost $150 for the Carlisles from the dealership. I do not see the K500 in your size but even a quick search of eBay shows many tires in your size for under $160 a pair, some of which are 6-ply.

Stretching a 8.5" wide tire to a 10.5" rim is gonna be tough to bead if tubeless, And if you get them beaded, they will be easy to have one come off the bead on a slope or hard turn,..

That's my .02 anyhow.
