Snapper owner new to forum. Have???

Hello to all and thanks for having me. I recently aquired a free snapper and have some questions. Got everything grease up and blade sharpened. Cleaned it up and will try to get pics soon. My question is about the carb. The mower will start on starting fluid but the carb is trash. All I'm finding for my mower as far as replacement carb is model 632 991. 8hp tecumseh. If thats what I get I reckon I will but is there any other options for a carb. Anyone know a good part source or best place for a manual. Thanks again and I look forward to any help and answers.

Is that a float bowl type carb or a diaphragm type? The float type can usually be cleaned out and used, the other, sometimes, or not.
