  • / L120A- Engine Revs VERY High Upon Blade Disengagement
I have a John Deere L120. I rescued it from certain death, cleaned it up and now use it at the lake. It smokes periodically but my main concern is that the engine revs VERY high every time I disengage the blades and I'm unable to bring it down to idle with the throttle lever...AT ALL. The throttle lever moves in its full range of motion and I'm aware of a misprint in the manual regarding governor arm direction. I basically have to turn the key off to stop the high revving. All help is appreciated, very much!
