That's common on those engines ..... How about giving us the Model and type numbers.... If you have the overhead vlalves then they are on the valve cover........

model 31p777 type 0299e1 replaced sheared flywheel key, it's sheared again, checked valve clearance reset to .005.

Was/is flywheel nut torqued to factory spec?

I agree with Russ the flywheel needs to be torqued or very tight.... If not it will keep shearing keys everytime....

Put a strap or something around the flywheel then go gorilla on the nut.......
