What is the purpose of the wire on bottom of carb float chamber please?
It supplies voltage to open the solenoid on the bottom of carb when the key is ON or in START position. The solenoid shuts off gas flow to the main carb jet in order to stop or reduce "After Fire" when the engine is shut off resulting from Fed required lean carb settings.
