I have at least three if not more different types of grass growing in my yard. Its because some parts drain differently and have different amounts of light I think. Should I strive to have all one type of grass or is this ok?

If it is mostly green and you can mow it... its good to call 'lawn'... KennyV

I think it's ok to have different types of grass. I have two types that I know of and it doesn't bother me in the slightest. I could be like my neighbors and dig up all my grass and lay sod but that's expensive and I'm cheap .

 I know what you mean. I watch my neighbors every summer and they work hard to get that perfect velvet uniform green so I wasn't sure if I was doing my lawn wrong. Thanks!
