Popping/grinding noises when mowing while turning

I purchased a 2013 Honda HRR2169VKA mower from Home Depot with rear power drive. It's been a great mower till this year. I kept hearing and feeling a popping/grinding noise especially when mowing and pushing the mower to the left or right. After some looking, I found that the right pinion gear was worn and replaced it. When mowing in a straight line, all seems better but if I turn the mower while mowing, I can still hear/feel a popping sound. I think the pinion gear wear was a symptom of the real problem. Any suggestions as to what my problem might be or how I proceed to fix this problem?
