Thanks for the add . I won quite a few garden tractors . The Ford model is my first. It runs Shifts hard but will be a fun project I hope. Traveled far to get it . I am from western massacusetts

First question why would shifting my Ford 100 be so difficult. I am thinking it may have something to do with the brake clutch? or Fluid level

Are you shifting at a complete and total stop? That is how you are supposed to do it.

Yes
Total stop while sitting still a struggle to get into gear sometime seems like it is in gear but does not move. After playing with it a wahile will eventually go into gear. sometimes take about 2 minutes
