  • / front weight / ballast bracket for Toro zero turn?
Hi all -

New to this particular forum, but have read a number of threads in the past.

I have a new Toro TimeCutter MX5050, and as it's leaf season here in the MA, I installed my CycloneRake yesterday. With some material in the trailer, I'm losing contact with the ground under the front wheels. Same thing happened on my old CubCadet LTX1046VT, and I had a cobbled-together bracket for weights on the front.

Does anyone have pics of a bracket they've made up, or purchased, that works with a zero turn like my Toro?

Thanks,

Steve

Here are photos of the JRCO bar on my walk-behind and the factory weight setup on my Bob-Cat Z. Note that I've removed one of the weights just for trailer space reasons.

Edit:. I believe I ignored the JRCO mounting instructions and modified the installation. I think it called for drilling the front caster arm which I wasn't about to do.

Couple of sand bags on the front deck? No modification to the mower required.

I see this thread popped up again. It got me thinking about how I load my trailers for weight distribution and positive and negative tongue weight based on the balance of the load and the hitch height.

Raising the height of the hitch should reduce the tongue weight, transfer more weight to the CycloneRake wheels and keep the front end down better...right?

Only one set of wheels and they are at the very back. So no it would not change anything.
