Hello All and Thanks in advance.

I have a 93 Dixon 312 with a Briggs & Stratton motor. The machine started and ran for me about 6 weeks ago. Went to start it last week and nothing. I decided to replace the key switch since it looked worn. I also replace the circuit breaker as well. I took my meter and did some preliminary testing. The battery is good. The solenoid has 12 volts. I turn the key and get no voltage where the positive meets the starter. My starter is 2 years old.

I know I am overlooking something small that is keeping the mower from starting.

Any advice would help.

Take a wire. Turn your switch to "on" position Hold one end of your wire on the starter post on the switch and put the other end on the positive side of the solenoid. If your motor turns over, the problem is either that wire or a safety switch that's faulty. Good luck. Gearjammer
