When I engage the blades the mower makes a howling noise. so I installed a new clutch, and it makes the same noise. I checked the spindles the best I could. no play and no wobble, any suggestions.

Take the belt off blades and manually spin the blade and feel and hear for any noise or vibration.

the plastic pullies have lots of bearing problems. try to narrow it down to a certain pully then just replace it. I changed out 3 on my mower but have 1300 hours on it.

Could also be a bent blade.
