Did I reassemble my motor incorrectly, govenor shaft only has 1/8 turn. I replaced a bad oil pan gasket and not sure on if I have the governor correct. Can anyone offer any advise.
Governor adjustment LX277 Kawasaki engine
Reason: to ensure governor shaft contacts the fly-weight plunger when engine is stopped.
Procedure:
1) adjust throttle cable and choke plate ---before adjusting governor linkage.
2) Move throttle cable to FAST idle position
3) Loosen nut “A”
4) Hold Governor arm “B” in the fully clockwise position
5) Using a small pin, rotate shaft (D) counterclockwise as far as it will go
6) Hold governor shaft and governor arm in place and tighten nut (69 in-lb)
7) move throttle cable through full range to be sure linkage is not binding
