Basically used for trimming here in NC- hilly terrain, somewhat rough too, my Current Craftsman works but is HEAVY/BULKY/ and not easy to throw around- also scrapes easily.

About any self propelled mower is heavy and bulky. I use a SP mower for some of the open areas and a push two stroke lawn boy for the trimming. Little Lawn Boy mowers are a pain to keep running right (due to age I guess) but they sure are handy. Might look into a battery/electric mower for your needs?

I think you'll find that a lightweight mower will quickly self destruct on anything approaching rough terrain.
