Hi! Mower engine problem.
First post here after reading all the posts in the Weed Eater forum and not finding a solution. I picked up a used Weed Eater One 875 series (WE261) Riding Lawn Mower with a Briggs & Stratton engine model # 12S907-1411 B1. It starts occasionally with the pull start (I will troubleshoot electric start later as the battery only had 11V on it), but after I run it for a while and shut it off, most times, it won't start up again. The engine doesn't run smooth either. You can hear the RPMs go up and down every second or so. I can ride it around and mow the lawn, but don't like that it won't start up again sometimes after running, and doesn't run smooth.
I replaced the carburetor and still have the same results. When I hold the throttle open all the way, it runs/sounds pretty good, but of course, it won't stay that way unless I hold it. I have also replaced the spark plug, air filter, and put new fuel in after replacing the carb. Looking forward to your advice and finding a solution! : )
One additional note, I can pull start it and run it for a 30 seconds or so, shut it off, and then pull start it again and it will usually start.
