Mower deck JD 345 yr. 01 mower deck disengages when you back up, can I bypass this

Like title says I have a 2001 JD 345 and it is annoying to have to raise up on the PTO mower handle when I am backing up, often times I forget and have to re engage. Is there a way to bypass this safety feature? There are several wires going to the engagement switch and I assume one of them supports this safety feature. Any ideas are appreciated.

As much as bypassing safety devices in general is not a good idea , if you look near the transmission by the right wheel you might find a plunger switch which gets depressed when you are in reverse.
