I apparently ran my engine while the choke wasn't opening properly and fouled my plugs. I replaced those and corrected the choke issue. My question is whether there is anything I could/should do to blow all the carbon out that may have accumulated in the engine?

put a tap in the fuel line and starve the engine off several times that will generally clean out light carbon build ups.

Ok thanks. I usually do that at least once per day anyway by forgetting to open the fuel line, lol. I shut it off after every account before transporting on my trailer and sometimes forget to open it again.

At idle/low rpms, right?

Not going to make much difference revs wise.
Running very lean for the couple of seconds that the float bowl fuel level drops means there is excess oxygen in the cylinder looking for something to burn ( includes the oil form the cylinder wall ).
Back a few years it was popular to "clean" a car engine by running oxygen directly into the engine.
Remember "oxi-Clean or similar type names ?
