Hello and thanks for having me! I have recently removed the carb from my Briggs and Stratton Model 44R877-0001-G1 Engine. I had let gas sit in it over the winter and since I wasn't thinking, I tried to start it. Obviously a bad choice! So as previously stated, I removed it to clean it. I purchased a gallon can of Gunk Carb Cleaner and let the carb soak for about 3 hours. After I removed the carb from the can I sprayed all the jets with carb cleaner. I replaced the o-rings and gaskets and put the carb back on the engine. I tried to start the mower and It started right up but won't stay running. I think that I have the linkage messed up. Can anyone help me with a photo or a web page of the proper way to set up all the linkage. Thanks in advance for your help!20180909_203514.jpg set20180909_203502.jpg20180909_203444.jpg20180909_203434.jpg

Thank you for your response! I totally agree with the photos. I meant to take them but got ahead of myself. Thank you for the links. Full of useful material! I'm going to post photos of my mother as soon as I figure out how. Cheers!

I have the same engine as a spare for my 21HP bought from a wrecked mower, we need to compare notes, have you had any problems from the thermostatic choke ..??
