HRC215KSXA Drive problem

While mowing lawn, mower started to squeak and quickly turned to a metal on metal sounding grind and then mower stalled. I'm able to push mower and wheels will turn but I am not able to turn engine over to start with pull starter cord. Like engine frozen.
I replaced clutch before researching problem and that did not fix the problem.
So.... is it the driveshaft or transmission??
Please help before I waste more money on parts..lol

remove spark plug & see if engine will turn over

It is definitely not an engine problem. I originally thought it was the clutch mechanism but after replacing I was able to start mower and for a few minutes it did work fine before it repeated problem. Something in the drive system is binding up causing the motor to stall.
