Idiot question for which I apologize in advance...

I replaced the belt for the first time. It would have gone smoothly had directions not said to unscrew bolt on fixed pulley...it simply spun forever until I realized that there was a nut at the other end that I couldn't feel from underneath as it was up in the depression in which it sits. But here's the question....

The belt is on and I have a cotter (snap) pin left over that I cannot remember from whence I removed it. I admit some memory issues here (67) so I'm embarrassed to ask where it goes. I took two from the J hooks in the back and one from the arm in the front and apparently one from somewhere else.

Where? Help please. I'm afraid to mow with something unattached.

The arms that lift the deck at the back have a pin on both ends.
If yours is the manual blade deck, there is a big thin one on the anchor point of the pto cable.
The front drag link may also have a pin at each end.
Other then that go to cub.com, dialin your mowers numbers and download the parts book and go through it checking the pin locations.
