6.5 hp Briggs & Stratton motor (123K02 0631-E1) on Poulan pushmower

Was working well as usual, and shut it off for a moment (to talk with someone) and when I pulled the rope to start, it threw a backfire but wouldn’t start. Pulled rope again and another backfire . . and again and again . .but will not start.
Any suggestions?

Back to basics...
Try another KNOWN good plug BEFORE tearing things apart.

ok I saw a video and it refreshed my old (and getting older) memory of when i had done this operation in the past.
Took it apart and pulled flywheel with a faucet handle remover and replaced sheared pin with an old one I had saved many years ago, has the tiny B&S logo in it. LOL.
Put it together and started on 1st pull.IMG_0285.jpgIMG_0286.jpg
